Hello and welcome to Guitar-stool.com

I am Roger Cox. I live and work in Corsham in Wiltshire, 9 miles East of Bath in the UK.

For many years I have enjoyed working with wood and I am a big fan of music. I have managed to combine the two at Guitar-stool.com

All of my products are made by hand, to the highest standard, using modern and traditional chairmaking practices. No two items are the same and therefore they are unique.

I also create custom made stools if there is a certain shape or style you would like but do not see on my website. Please let me know and I will do my best to meet your requirements.

My guitar shaped stools are made from English hardwoods, locally sourced in the Wiltshire area.All my goods are finished with shellac sanding sealer and wax polish buffed
to a shine. You can maintain this with household furniture polish, but avoid contact with water and solvent-based products.

The stools come in three different styles:

Number 1: The No-Back Stool

This stool is simply the body of the guitar as the seat, carved into wood with an adze - the traditional chairmaker's tool of choice.

Approximately 14" (36cm) wide. Seat height approximately 18" - 19"(47cm).

Number 2: The Fixed Back

This is the same as the No Back Stool but uses the neck of the guitar as a decorative back. Note this back is not for leaning against - strictly for decoration only!
Approximately 14" (36cm) wide. Seat height 18" - 19" (47cm).

Prices start from £300.

Number 3: The Spring Back

These incorporate a small spring on the underside of the seat connected to the neck (used as a decorative back). The difference with the Spring Back stool is if you lean back, so does the neck, so it prevents breakages to the stool that could be incurred with the Fixed Back stool. Please note that the Spring Back is not child friendly. Not only could they fall off the back, but they may trap their fingers in the moving parts.

Children's Stools

Made especially for children, particularly those who love their music! This stool is simply the body of the guitar as the seat, carved into wood with an adze - the traditional chairmaker's tool of choice.
